This garden in Narrabundah was designed to be a private, inviting space with seamless connections from indoors to outdoors. The client wanted an area for entertaining, with lush, leafy plantings that offered seasonal colour and privacy. Manuka Gardens created a harmonious landscape featuring a pergola, decking, and carefully selected foliage to provide both privacy and year-round interest. The client was thrilled with the result, and we continue to maintain this evolving garden.
A spacious timber pergola and deck form the heart of this garden, providing a perfect space for outdoor entertaining. A stone pathway wraps around the deck’s edge, adding a natural flow and connecting the space to a feature cycad, which brings a touch of sculptural interest to the area. This combination of materials and greenery creates an inviting and functional outdoor living area that effortlessly links with the home’s interior.
The garden’s design is anchored by the strong, clean lines of the timber decking, pergola, and overhead trellising, creating a cohesive, modern aesthetic. The pergola’s timber shade slats cast soft, patterned shadows across the deck, enhancing the space’s visual appeal and providing dappled shade. These linear elements add structure and form, balancing the lush plantings with a touch of architectural precision that ties the entire outdoor area together.
