This refined courtyard garden in Forrest was originally designed by another landscape designer. Manuka Gardens collaborated with the client to enhance the planting design, adapting it to better suit the site and the client’s aesthetic preferences. The courtyard showcases striking Japanese maples with feature lighting that brings out their vibrant foliage, creating a warm, inviting ambiance. The up-lit maples provide seasonal interest and visual depth, adding elegance to the compact space. Their instant height and structure enhance the courtyard’s character, offering both beauty and privacy from the street.
A cobblestone pathway with subtle in-path lighting leads to the side gate, embedded within an angled wall that adds architectural intrigue. The cobblestones continue into the courtyard are bringing texture and charm, while the lighting enhances evening visibility and ambiance. This combination of materials and lighting completes the garden’s design, merging classic elegance with modern functionality.
