(Leptospermum scaparium): a small tree with aromatic leaves native to south-east Australia and New Zealand. Also called a tea tree.

Our name Manuka Gardens pays homage to this beautiful little tree. It also reminded us both of New Zealand (where Victoria is from) and the picturesque suburb of Manuka in our new home city. And of course, it conjures up images of honey, of which bees play a vital role in as they do in thriving gardens.

Simon Davies

- Managing Director/Landscape Gardener

With over 16 years’ experience in the horticulture industry, Managing Director Simon Davies has channeled his love of high-quality, beautiful and functional gardens into Manuka Gardens.

After moving to Sydney from his home town of Wagga Wagga (following the completion of his landscape apprenticeship under the helm of Vince Hunt), Simon joined one of Sydney’s most prominent landscape architecture and horticulture companies, Secret Gardens. Simon built and maintained gardens for high-end properties in some of Sydney’s most prestigious suburbs, and with his progression to project manager, created several award-winning gardens.

Moving to Canberra with his young family, Simon’s passion for excellence in landscape design, horticulture and customer service led him to start his own business, Manuka Gardens.

Whatever your need, you can be sure that you’ll receive a professional service with great attention to detail and care by the very approachable Simon Davies.

Victoria Davies

– Business Manager

Like every good landscape design, so too must every partnership have balance. Victoria Davies is Simon’s business partner in Manuka Gardens – the yin to his yang.

Before starting their family, Victoria worked for over 10 years as the executive assistant at Park Hyatt Sydney. Some of her numerous strengths are in behind the scenes organisation and building trusted relationships with clients.

Since moving to Canberra, Victoria has worked in a multinational professional services firm, taking care of their partners and key clients. This experience has vastly broadened her awareness of the business world and resulted in many good relationships.

Victoria’s business experience united with Simon’s landscaping expertise is a winning combination.

Why choose Manuka Gardens?

A garden is more than just a place to grow your herbs or throw the cricket ball around in. It’s an oasis and a sanctuary. Gardens are also the exterior reflection of its owners: flamboyant or calm, ordered or chaotic, relaxed or energized. What does your garden say about you?

We can create a garden that’s better aligned with your needs and reflects who you are. That has a greater harmony with the architecture of your property. That transforms it into a space you feel at home in.
