Located in Griffith, this garden was designed with an open, English cottage feel, featuring perennial plantings and organically shaped garden beds. The client envisioned a warm and inviting space with a natural flow, enhancing the home’s charm. Manuka Gardens brought this vision to life, creating a garden with an elegant mix of structure and organic curves that complements the property’s unique triangular layout.
The centrepiece of the garden is a magnificent Chinese elm tree, thoughtfully incorporated into the design to create a natural focal point. This sculptural tree anchors the garden, its expansive canopy providing shade and balance to the surrounding plantings. The elm’s placement establishes a central gathering point, embodying the open, welcoming essence of the garden.
The garden beds are designed with soft, flowing curves, lending a sense of natural movement and organic structure. These gentle curves soften the landscape, creating a cohesive look that complements the English cottage style. The design invites exploration, guiding visitors through a harmonious blend of textures and colours.
Carefully chosen plants add seasonal interest and a variety of textures, with standout selections like weeping birch, oak-leaf hydrangea, and vibrant salvias. The plantings reflect an English cottage style, creating a layered and inviting aesthetic that brings colour and vibrancy throughout the seasons. These carefully curated selections provide structure while keeping the garden lush and lively year-round.
